Your JourneyDays 1 - 3 - Maun to Nxai Pan & Makgadigadi National Parks Zebra, wildebeest, springbok, impala, giraffe and ostrich can easily be seen which attracts predators. Large numbers of game congregate in Nxai Pan during the rainy season including buffalo and elephant. Weather permitting a feature is Baines Baobabs. Day 4 Return to Maun for overnight. The 9 Day CLASSIC SAFARI starts here. Day 5 & 6 - Xakanaxa, Okavango Delta Enjoy a scenic flight over the twisting and turning waterways of the Delta. Herds of red lechwe, water buck, buffalo and hippo can be found along the rivers and floodplains of the Okavango. Cruise by motorboat on the Xaxanaka lagoon to visit the famous heronries of the eastern Okavango. Day 7 & 8 - Moremi Game Reserve Follow a riverine route through Moremi to Khwai River. Day 9 & 10 - Savuti The dry Savuti channel finally received water again in 2009 partially covering the marsh in water. It attracts large concentrations of game and birds especially the famous Savuti bull elephant population. Early morning drive in search of the Savuti predators, the subject of many documentaries. In some rocky outcrops there is also evidence of Bushmen rock art. Days 11 & 12 Chobe National Park Chobe River is home to large breeding herds of elephant and large herds of buffalo. It is one of the best game viewing spots in Southern Africa and it is possible to see more than a thousand elephants and buffalo. Shy antelope species like the Chobe bushbuck, Roan and Sable antelope can also easily be seen. Day 13 Arrangements end in Kasane. You can go on to Victoria Falls with a 90 minute transfer across the border (not incl).
