Mountains and Lakes of Slovenia
Self-guided

Alpe Adria Trail
Self-guided

The tiny country of Slovenia is a special gem: richly endowed with mountains, lakes, plateaus and rivers; wonderfully preserved historical monuments; a wine culture that boasts the oldest producing vine in the world; plus 47 kilometres of sparkling Adriatic coastline. The Julian Alps are the base for this wonderful walk in the northwest of Slovenia.

Cross a breathtaking mountain pass and follow the emerald-green Soča River as it carves its way through the impressive Trenta Valley. Follow Slovene/Italian ridgeline border, before descending into wine country at Cividale, a cultural heritage hilltop village in Italy.
