Days 1 – 2: Caprivi National Park

The safari begins in Livingstone, Zambia. Cross the border into Namibia to our lovely lodge on the Kwando River, a tributary of the Chobe River. Elephant, Kudu and other antelope are commonly seen in this area.

Days 3 – 5: Okavango Delta

Travel along the Caprivi Strip to reach Popa Falls where the Okavango River enters the Delta. Travel through Mahango Game Reserve, known for its sightings of Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope amongst other wildlife. Continue to your lodge right in the Delta. Full day excursion travelling by motorboat then ‘mokoro’ (traditional dugout canoe) used by the Bayeyi River Bushmen for centuries to negotiate the intricate waterways.

Day 5: Maun – overnight in this town that is the gateway to the Okavango.

Days 6 – 7: Moremi Game Reserve – Khwai area

The Khwai River area, on the border of Moremi Game Reserve, is one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana with very high concentrations of game.
OPTION – return to Maun on a scenic flight to see the vast twisting waterways from the air.

Days 8 – 9: Nata, Makgadikgadi Pans

Drive to Nata via Maun, watching the landscape change from green swamplands to vast saltpans. Depending on the time of year, it is possible to see large flocks of flamingos and pelicans feeding and nesting on the pans.

Days 10 – 11: Chobe National Park-Victoria Falls

Incredibly rich in game due to the Chobe River providing water all year round, large herds of elephant are frequently seen walking to and from the river. There are many predators, such as lions and leopards, due to the high density of herbivores in this area.

Day 12: Victoria Falls, Livingstone (Zambia)

Visit the thunderous Falls – a great climax to your safari.
