Your JourneyDay 1: Santiago Arrive in Chile’s bustling cosmopolitan capital framed by the majestic Andes Mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. French classic architecture is combined with the baroque, and colonial Spanish architecture intermingled with modern tall buildings. The beautiful and extensive valleys that surround the city give origin to famous Chilean wines while the ski slopes are just a couple of hours away. Day 2: Santiago Panoramic tour of the city’s main attractions: the Government Palace, Main Square “Plaza de Armas”, Santa Lucia Hill, the Metropolitan Park and the exclusive residential areas of Vitactura and Las Condes. Afternoon tour to a traditional vineyard founded in 1883 for an introduction to Chilean wine-making which features elegant red wines, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurtraminer. Day 3: Santiago to Mendoza Impressive full day bus journey across the Andes into Argentina with views of Mount Aconcagua, highest in the Andes. Arrive Mendoza, the centre of Argentina’s wine industry. Day 4: Mendoza Enjoy a tour of Mendoza’s three top wineries for tastings, notably the incomparable Malbec, and a typical lunch. Discover the culture and landscape of this “Wine and Olive Route”. Day 5: Mendoza Morning tour of Mendoza city. Afternoon at leisure. Day 6: Mendoza to Buenos Aires Fly to Buenos Aires, an exciting cosmopolitan city with inspiring music; classical architecture; cultural offerings and most notable the love of dance. Tango found its roots in the slums back in 1880 which were inhabited by black people, gauchos, Spanish and Italian immigrants. A visit to Buenos Aires is not complete without a visit to a tango restaurant that offers a show of an excellent level to truly experience the rhythm, passion and drama of this exciting dance. Day 7: Buenos Aires City tour to historic Plaza de Mayo square; the wide boulevards and Avenida de Mayo; San Telmo, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires with colonial houses and cobbled streets plus a lively night-life with many tango houses, restaurants and pubs. End in the newest district of Puerto Madero; Palermo neighbourhood with its elegant residences framed by wide green areas; finally reaching the district of Recoleta, the most sophisticated neighbourhood in Buenos Aires.
