Croatia Island Hopping Cruise:  Just Cruise

 8 Days / 7 Nights

Spend one week cruising idyllic islands, the dramatic coast of the mainland and exploring ancient towns that have seen the Greeks, Romans and more recently, the Venetians leave their mark. There are romantic ruins, enchanting mountains, innumerable sites of natural beauty and phenomena. Dubrovnik is a highlight – a beautiful walled town centuries old. You will have time to wander the narrow streets and paved marble squares of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town lined with classic examples of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture.

Split is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has well preserved Roman monuments and the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.

All you will need is a few T-shirts and a swimming costume to spend seven unforgettable days cruising on the Adriatic Sea from one idyllic island to the next. Relax and let the captain and his crew (especially the cook) take care of you aboard the luxurious motor yacht Solaris.

Your Journey

Days 1 Dubrovnik

Arrive Dubrovnik.  Depart Dubrovnik at 4.00pm for Slano, 37km north of Dubrovnik.

Day 2 Slano–Mljet Island

Cruise to the idyllic island of Mljet (pronounced 'mil-yet'). Covered in olive groves, vineyards and dense forest, Mljet is known as the greenest island of Croatia. Thirty-seven kilometres long, there are several villages, two salt water lakes and a Benedictine Monastery on St Mary Island.

Day 3 Mljet Island–Makarska Riviera

An idyllic and picresque spot with vast pine forests stretching along the slopes of the Biokovo Mountains to reach the fine pebble beaches with crystal clear waters. After lunch cruise to Makarska town or one equally delightful.

Day 4 Makarska Riviera - Split

Cruise to Split. After a guided city tour you have the evening to discover the fascinating Old Town.

Day 5 Split - Hvar

Leave Split this morning and pass between the islands of Brac and Solta on course for Hvar. Hvar’s gently rolling hills are painted brilliant purple by fields of lavender while lush vineyards nestle at the foot of the island’s ragged mountains. Explore the city of Hvar: the fortress perched on the hill above the old town, the Cathedral, Arsenal and the Franciscan Monastery.

Day 6 Hvar - Korčula

Supposedly the birthplace of Marco Polo, the medieval walled town of Korčula sits on a small headland. Wander the town’s narrow walkways lined with Venetian architecture and many monuments. Climb to the top of St Mark’s Cathedral for spectacular views of the town, the Peljesac peninsular and the sparkling Adriatic Sea.

Day 7 Korčula – Dubrovnik

Continue your cruise to the Elaphiti Archipelago, a group of 14 idyllic islands and islets, stopping for lunch and swimming on long sandy beaches.  In the afternoon return to Dubrovnik.  Sail below the mighty city walls of Dubrovnik’s Old Town and beside magical Lokrum Island to the Port of Gruz.

Day 8 Dubrovnik

Arrangements end after breakfast.

Breakfast daily, 6 lunches OR dinners
