Our bike tours in Southern Dalmatia, the smallest and most sparsely populated region of Croatia, will take you past unique little towns and the beautiful island countryside. Experience the beautiful island of Korčula with its picturesque old township; the wine growing peninsula of Pelješac; and, on the south of the peninsula, the island of Mljet, with its impressive national park. Our tour guide will guide you through the towns of Trogir, Hvar, Stari Grad and Korčula, some of which are protected as UNESCO‘s World Heritage sites.
Your JourneyDay 1 (Friday) Embarkation in Trogir: Arrive Trogir (5km from Split Airport) . Board your vessel between 2.00 pm and 2.30pm. Depart at 3 pm from Trogir to the island of Vis which was colonised by the Greeks and is the most remote inhabited island from the Dalmatian mainland. On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim off the boat. Day 2 (Saturday) Islands of Vis & Korcula Morning bike ride to the old military tunnels which crisscross the island, on your way to the fortress of St. George. Back on board, cruise towards the harbour of Vela Luka on the island of Korčula, stopping for a swim break off the boat on the way. Day 3 (Sunday) Hvar Island: Early morning cross to Hvar Island and its' island capital Hvar town. Enjoy a tour of the town seeing the large Renaissance Square which is surrounded by the cathedral and many late Gothic palaces. Hike up to the Spanish fortress that towers above the town for fabulous views of the city and the surrounding islands. Lunch on board while you cruise to the Pakleni Islands for a lengthy swim stop. Cruise to Stari Grad located on the north side of the island Hvar which has become a mecca for artists and art lovers. Day 4 (Monday) Islands of Hvar and Brač: Cruise to the famous ‘Golden Horn’ Beach in Bol on the island of Brač where the ship anchors for the morning. Choose between a variety of activities both in the water and on land (not included in the tour price) or just enjoy the summer morning swimming and chilling on deck. During lunch on board, cruise to the town of Jelsa on the island of Hvar where you can enjoy a bike tour along the beautiful seafront promenade through Vrboska, past the UNESCO Stari Grad Plains. Enjoy a special Captain’s dinner tonight. Day 5 (Tuesday) Island of Brač: After breakfast we go ashore at Brač Island and participate in a little Olympic competition before we leave for Lovrecina, from where we hike (approx 1.5 hours) along the shoreline to our overnight stay at Postira. Day 6 (Wednesday) Cetina Canyon – Omiš - Split After a short crossing to Omiš with its pirate castles, you can choose either a rafting tour on the Cetina River (not included in the tour price) or hike up to the pirate fortress above the old town of Omis. In the afternoon cruise to the bustling city of Split. Enjoy an exciting tour through the UNESCO old town, built within the palace walls of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Overnight in Split. Day 7 (Thursday) Solta Island - Trogir: Morning cycle ride on the island of Šolta to Goran, a local beekeeper to participate in an interactive workshop on bees, their purpose, products and the life of a beekeeper. Return to Rogač where the boat waits. After lunch on board we cruise back to the port of Trogir, stopping for a swim break. Arrive Trogir where you can take a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally on the last evening of the cruise, there is a final get together with guests, crew and guides. Day 8 (Friday): Departure Your cruise finishes in Trogir after breakfast at 9am. TerrainThe tours do not require any special physical fitness as they are not very demanding. The walks and short hikes run along good routes, some of which are asphalted. If some specific activities should require more physical fitness, the tour guide will point this out beforehand.
