Cruise on board the luxurious Fiordland Jewel, a 24m high-spec catamaran exploring this remote wilderness few get to see. Fiordland is NZ's largest national park and home to a large variety of wildlife and birdlife. Enjoy the antics of playful seals and dolphins plus the rare and captivating Fiordland crested penguin. It is the only penguin to breed exclusively in New Zealand and found mainly in Fiordland and Stewart Island.

Bird lovers are in for a treat and may spot native New Zealand falcons, white-faced herons, white herons, cattle egrets, a variety of shags and the common black-backed gull. Closer to the Tasman Sea, see Albatross including the Royal Albatross which has the longest wingspan in the world.

Your first day begins with a spectacular helicopter flight over the area to land right on the helipad of your boat. While cruising the Sounds and inlets there are opportunities for kayaking, short walks, excursions ashore by tender boat and, weather-permitting, some fishing.

Experience Fiordland's abundant marine and bird life not only on the water but under it as well! Fiordland Jewel is the only charter vessel in Fiordland with an on board ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) that can descend up to 600m via fibre optic cable, to capture live footage of marine life below water that is screened onto high definition 4K, 65” TVs in the main salon for the guests to view.

Your Luxury Vessel Features:

  • Nine climate-controlled cabins with ensuite bathrooms and panoramic windows affording stunning sea views.
  • Helipad.
  • Kayaks.
  • All meals by an on-board chef.
  • Licensed cash bar on board with a selection of wine, beer and soft drinks (no spirits).
  • Comfortable and elegant dining and seating areas.
  • Tender boat.
  • Top-deck hot tub.
