Our bike tours in Southern Dalmatia, the smallest and most sparsely populated region of Croatia, will take you past unique little towns and the beautiful island countryside. Experience the beautiful island of Korčula with its picturesque old township; the wine growing peninsula of Pelješac; and, on the south of the peninsula, the island of Mljet, with its impressive national park. Our tour guide will guide you through the towns of Trogir, Hvar, Stari Grad and Korčula, some of which are protected as UNESCO‘s World Heritage sites.
Day 1 (Saturday) Embarkation in Trogir:
Arrive Trogir (5km from Split Airport) . Board your vessel between 2.00 pm and 2.30pm. Depart at 4 pm from Trogir to the island of Šolta - On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim off the boat.
Day 2 (Sunday) Hvar:
Take a cycle tour on the north side of Hvar to the old town of Stari Grad, and then on to Hvar town where a sightseeing tour takes us to the Spanish fortress with magnificent views of the town. Around noon the boat will take us to Komiža on the island of Vis, which was colonised by the Greeks and is the most remote inhabited island from the Dalmatian mainland. Our tour guide will lead a group hike this afternoon and you may have time for a refreshing swim from the boat.
Day 3 (Monday) Korcula:
Early morning cross to Korcula stopping in Racisce for a combination ride and hike to the old town. Alternatively take the ship direct to the old town, where the evening is spent in the bustling port.
Day 4 (Tuesday) Island of Hvar:
We sail to Stari Grad located on the north side of the island Hvar – taking time for a swim and lunch on board. Stari Grad and its old town has become a mecca for artists and art lovers. Afterwards we cycle to Jelsa, reaching the boat around 5.30pm before sailing to the island of Brač. Enjoy a special Captain’s dinner tonight.
Day 5 (Wednesday) Islands of Hvar and Brač:
After breakfast we go ashore at Brač Island and participate in a little Olympic competition before we leave for Lovrecina, from where we hike (approx 1.5 hours) along the shoreline to our overnight stay at Postira.
Day 6 (Thursday) Cetina Canyon – Omiš - Split:
After a short crossing to Omiš with its pirate castles, you can choose either in a rafting tour on the Cetina River (not included in the tour price) or to take a small cycle tour of 12 km along the Canyon. This afternoon cruise to Split. Explore on foot, the fantastic Old Town of Split which is so rich in history. Overnight stay in Split.
Day 7 (Friday) Split - Trogir:
This morning we walk up Mt Marjan – the recreation area for inhabitants of Split from where there is a beautiful view of all Split. After lunch on board we cruise back to the port of Trogir, where you can take a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally on the last evening of the cruise, there is a final get together with guests, crew and guides.
Day 8: Departure
Your cruise finishes in Trogir after breakfast at 9am.
The tours do not require any special physical fitness as they are not very demanding. The walks and short hikes run along good routes, some of which are asphalted. If some specific activities should require more physical fitness, the tour guide will point this out beforehand.
