Your JourneyDay 1 Arrive Figueres Vilafant train station. Transfer provided to the delightful white-washed seaside town of Cadaques. Briefing of your tour this evening. Day 2 Cadaques – Circuit walk to Dali’s House Follow the track that hugs the coast. Dali must have walked it numerous times to gain inspiration. A visit to his house must be pre-booked. Day 3 Roses – Cadaques Transfer to Roses. Walk a spectacular coastal trail past many secluded beaches and coves. Eventually cut inland through hillsides tiered with old olive groves, and finally on to Cadaqués. Walking: 16 km, 5 hrs 30 mins Day 4 Cadaques – Port de la Selva From Cadaqués walk through the Cap de Creus National Park along a path bordered with wildflowers. Enjoy beautiful views of the Catalan countryside and sea before arriving at El Port de la Selva. Walking : 12 km, 4 hrs 30mins Day 5 Port de la Selva - Llanca Head north to the French/Spanish border and the town of Banyuls. A coastal path leads around the wild Cap de Ras and continues to Llanca past small bays with opportunities for a cooling dip. Day 6 Llanca – Banyuls Train from Llancà to Portbou (pay locally). Carry on walking north enjoying wonderful views to the Pyrenees, the famous Canigou peak, the Cap de Creu and the Mediterranean Sea as you ascend the beautiful Catalan hills and cross the border into France. Your next stop is the French seaside town of Banyuls Sur Mer, originally a fishing village that turned to wine-making. Banyuls manages to combine the authentic character of a town steeped in traditions with the dynamism of a modern city. Walking: 15 km, 5hrs Day 7 Banyuls - Collioure Follow cliff-top paths around the rugged Cap Béar headland. Views are spectacular. From the maquis-covered hills behind Port-Vendres, come to the delightful fishing village of Collioure dominated by its fort and castle. Walking: 17 km, 5hrs 30mins Day 8 Arrangements end.
