Northern Italy’s Barolo Wine Country

Self-Guided Tour - 8 Days / 7 Nights

Turin’s cafe society is legendary and one of the first in Italy. It is a testament to the numerous ornate ‘belle époque’ style cafes, gleaming with gilt and sparkling crystals, that are the core of the city’s huge cafe culture. As well as these gracious, elegant establishments there are chic modern cafes and restaurants amidst the miles of grand arcaded shops that line the streets.

The city has numerous museums, the most notable being the Egyptian museum which grew from a private collection to the second largest exhibition of Egyptology outside of Cairo.

The Museum of Cinema is a fascinating display of movies through the ages. It is housed in the city’s landmark dome, the Mole Antonellana, which has a high speed elevator that soars through the centre to the top for a wonderful panorama of the city. The Museum of Cinema spirals cleverly up around the outer wall of the dome so you stay in a continuous progression through the exhibits.
